How to Install DuroBumps front bump stops DBF212: 2nd / 3rd Gen Tacoma, 4th / 5th Gen 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Lexus & GX460 / 470

Step 1. Remove Front Wheels

To begin, pre-soak your old OEM bump stops with Liquid Wrench for an easier removal. Then, remove the front wheels from your truck using jack stands.

Important Note: DuroBumps to be installed at the rear of the LCA only. Do not install DuroBumps in the front.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 2. Remove Old OEM Bump Stops

Remove old OEM bump stops located at the REAR of the LCA with channel-locks, pipe wrench or similar. Ensure you don’t break the threaded stud from the OEM bump stop during removal.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 3. Clean LCA Using Scraper

Take a scraper and clean any mud/ debris from the LCA.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 4. Drop Flange Bolt into Front Bump Stops

Drop the provided flange bolt into your new front bump stops.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 5. Apply Thread Locker

Then coat the threads with the provided single-use medium (blue) thread locker.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 6. Install New DuroBumps Bump Stops

Install new bump stops using a 14mm deep socket and ratchet. The notch in the base of the DuroBump should face the wheel.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 7. Torque To ≈ 15 – 18ft⋅lb

Tighten the bolt until snug (≈ 15 – 18ft⋅lb) Do not over tighten the bolt. Repeat on the other side.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Step 8. Reinstall Front Wheels

Reinstall wheels on both sides. Lastly, you’ll need to tighten lug nuts to 93 ft·lbs or to manufacturer’s recommendations before reinstalling the wheels. And, you’re done![/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]
